Little Shop of Horrors is a horror-comedy rock musical about Seymour Krelborn, a meek flower shop assistant who discovers a strange and unusual plant, which he names Audrey II after his coworker and crush, Audrey. As Seymour nurtures the plant, he realizes it thrives on human blood—and as it grows, so does his fame and fortune. However, Audrey II’s hunger soon becomes insatiable, leading Seymour down a dark and dangerous path of murder and moral dilemmas. With a mix of 1960s-inspired rock, doo-wop, and Motown tunes, this cult classic blends humor, horror, and heart, all leading to an unforgettable (and sometimes apocalyptic) conclusion.
Originally produced by the WPA Theatre (Kyle Renick, Producing Director)
Originally produced at the Orpheum Theatre, New York City by the WPA Theatre, David Geffen, Cameron Mackintosh and the Shubert Organization
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI www.mtishows.co.uk
