Geoffrey Holme 1st Aug 1931 – 27th Sept 2011

Some of you may know the sad news that our dear friend Geoff Holme passed away on the 27th September, only several days after he had moved out to Spain. Although we know Geoff had been ill for some time, it is still shocking to hear of his passing.

As we all know Geoff had been the backbone of the GMDF for as long as I can remember and it is going to be hard for me to know that he won’t be there for me to pester him. Geoff was instrumental in getting me onto the board and ultimately saw something in me that reassured him that I could be Chairman of the GMDF. I shall never forget that and will ensure that Geoff’s love of theatre is kept at the forefront of what we do as a federation.

To me Geoff was a true gentleman and I am going to miss the little gossip sessions that we had together. Geoff was inspirational and we will all miss him.
