Tapped follows Gavi, a well-meaning but slightly hapless man who decides to start an amateur motivational/self-help group in his garage to inspire his small town community.
He hosts sessions filled with daily mantras, goal-setting and plenty of Spandau Ballet, convinced he can help others find purpose. But when the only participants are his two co-workers, the fractious mother-daughter pair Dawn and Jen, the sessions become far more awkward and revealing than transformative. As their weekly meet-ups unfold, the trio confronts personal frustrations, unspoken struggles and the challenge of real connection beyond clichés and positivity.
The play is a witty yet sensitive look at mental health, relationships and the barriers people put up to maintain a brave face.
