The perfect Easter theatrical treat for the young … and young at heart!
Written by Roald Dahl. Adapted for the Stage by David Wood.
This Roald Dahl classic is packed full of humour and ridiculousness for all ages.
James lives with Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker, the most revolting Aunts in England. They make him work and slave and never let him play with other children - his life is lonely and sad.
Then, one day, he meets a mystical old man who gives him a bag that contains the strongest magic the world has ever known. When James accidentally spills the bag near an old peach tree, the most incredible things start to happen and James embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with the most amazing group of characters you could ever meet!
In this delightful stage adaptation, Roald Dahl’s classic tale is faithfully told by James himself, along with the insect characters – Miss Spider, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybird, and Earthworm.
Prepare to be taken on a journey of crazy characters, creative costumes and colourful storytelling for the whole Family to enjoy!
Age Guidance: 4+
This is a family show without age restrictions - only guidance. We do ask that you make sure you and whoever you bring along will be comfortable sitting through the show (it's approximately 2 hours long with a 20 minute interval) and don't mind singing, shouting and movement, flashing lights and loud sound effects and a couple of nasty aunts. Unfortunately, if you have to leave during the show, you may not be able to come back in. All children must be accompanied at all times.
