A Dark Comedy by Martin McDonagh
“If he had a nice personality you'd say all well and good, but all Billy has is he goes around staring at cows.”
On the remote Irish island of Inishmaan, where the biggest news concerns the fate of farm animals, word arrives that a Hollywood director is coming to the neighbouring island to film his next picture. The one person who wants to be in the film more than anybody is young Cripple Billy, if only to break away from the bitter tedium of daily life; mostly spent staring at cows. A strange comic tale in the great tradition of Irish storytelling.
