After a lifetime of hard graft, retirement isn’t at all what Albert Nobbs had expected.
Whilst relaxing and taking things at a leisurely pace, Albert finds himself bored and nagged senseless by his wife Connie, who he has always taken very much for granted.
But one day Connie goes out and does not return.
She has not run away but been killed in a road accident.
Albert’s world is turned upside down and he struggles to find a reason to live - until Connie comes back...
