Dr Ross Marquand is a successful happily married cardiac consultant until his wife Fay informs him she has fallen in love with another man, the famous conductor and womaniser Julian Kane. A few days later Ross’s assistant discovers two phials of a strong tranquilliser missing from their stock. When a guest at Ross’s annual charity regatta, Julian falls ill victim to a fatal heart attack.
