'Brassed Off' is an exciting project involving collaboration with a Garrick classic and a Brass Band. Back by popular demand, following two previously highly acclaimed productions, this is comedy/drama at its very best.WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE BAND INVOLVED WILL BE 'WINGATES' , ONE OF THE BEST BRASS BANDS IN THE COUNTRY WITH AN INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION. THEY ARE CURRENTLY RANKED IN THE WORLD'S TOP 30!
The action takes place in a Northern pit village and revolves around the miners and their wives fighting to keep the pit and their band alive. The story is a memory narrated by Shane(eight when the action takes place in 1994). The actual time is around 2000.
