Confusions is actually 5 x 1 act plays that are intertwined using just 5 actors:
Female 20-40
Female 30-45
Male 30-50
Male 18-50
Male 30-50
MOTHER FIGURE
Lucy - untidy, unmade up, fraught mother 3 children - whom she spends all her time with.
Rosemary - Lucy’s concerned neighbour.
Terry - Rosemary’s husband.
DRINKING COMPANION
Harry - Lucy’s absent husband. Sales man. Confident, flirty.
Paula - Young girl in the bar with Harry. Sells perfume.
Waiter - good at his job, helps the ladies escape from Harry.
Bernice - Paula’s friend.
IN BETWEEN MOUTHFULS
Waiter - same waiter as previous play.
Pearce - Business man. No nonsense.
Mrs Pearce - worried and tense.
Martin - works for Pearce.
Polly -Martin’s wife.
GOSFORTH’S FETE
Mrs Pearce -same as previous play. Smart.
Milly - fresh faced, helpful. Upbeat.
Gosforth - beery faced, looks like he’s ’in the thick of battle.’
Vicar - he laughs a lot, especially when nervous.
Stewart - Milly’s fiancé.
A TALK IN THE PARK
Arthur - looking for company.
Beryl - a young girl.
Charles - a business man.
Doreen - untidy, feeds the birds.
Ernest - a young man.
