Slovenly Olive Madison invites the girls over for a games evening. Fastidious Florence Unger turns up in need of a place to stay, having split up with her husband. They become an unlikely, and mismatched, flat-sharing couple, managing to drive each other to distraction. Looking to improve their love-life, Olive invites the two Costazuela brothers, who live upstairs, over on a date – only to find they both take a shine to Florence.
