Harvey tells the tale of the charming and affable Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend, a six-foot-tall invisible rabbit named Harvey. Elwood’s sister, Veta, is determined to move up in the local social circles and secure a “good” marriage for her daughter, Myrtle Mae, but Elwood and Harvey jeopardize her chances. When Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium, all manner of chaos and mistaken identity ensues. The result is a fast-paced evening of lighthearted comedy.
