"Now we don’t want to start Christmas like this do we”
Neville and Belinda invite a bevy of friends and relatives to celebrate a jubilant and harmonious Christmas; but as the children lurk just out of sight, it's the adults who are letting the side down as festive joy swiftly turns into petty squabbles and major disasters. With warring uncles, incompetent puppet shows, a chef too drunk to cook, cheating at snakes and ladders and a midnight liaison under the Christmas tree, this seasonal celebration becomes the frantic crisis all too many of us can recognise.
