A dramatic society assembles on the stage of a church hall to rehearse a mystery-thriller. The rehearsal proceeds under difficulties until the mysterious death of the caretaker brings the situation of the whodunit even more closely into real life.
Kaye has occupied the director’s/assistant director’s chair for the successful comedies ‘Sandcastles’, ‘Beside the Seaside’, and the imaginative comedy thriller ‘Out of Sight, Out of Murder’. It’s either holidays or murders when Kaye takes charge, but the quality won’t falter with this revival of a classic first presented here in 1981!
