Set in the little village of Anatevka in the Ukraine, the story of Fiddler on the Roof centres on Tevye, a poor milkman, father to five daughters and his attempts to maintain his Jewish heritage and cultural traditions as outside influences encroach upon the family's lives.

As the story unfolds Tevye must cope not only with the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters, who wish to ignore tradition and marry for love, but also the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.

Featuring the memorable songs Sunrise, Sunset, If I were a Rich Man and Matchmaker, Fiddler is as popular today as it was when it first appeared on Broadway in 1964.

This year’s show features a cast of over 50 members of the society including mums, dads, sons, daughters, grandfathers, grandmothers, grandsons and granddaughters, not to mention friends.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be joined by the fabulous Orlyk Ukrainian Dancers.
